I spent 18 months under his guidance which included starting my own online coaching business and training people in person at his gym. I spent the next few years expanding my online coaching business and continued to further my education and experience in the field. Personally I earned my IFBB Pro Card in Bikini. Professionally I took a NASM prep course, functional medicine courses, and began N1 Education education curriculum. In 2021, I began a mentorship with N1. I am passionate about what I do. I will continue to improve my methods to make it the best experience for those I coach.
I have been married since 2003 to my husband Ryan. We have 3 boys and they are an active bunch. Our favorite family activities are hiking and snow skiing. I love to sew and I have a deep obsession with athletic wear. You can find me breaking out in random, solo dance parties at least 5x a day and I'm a leftie! My background: In 2005, got my BS in Business Management from BYU-Hawaii. For 6 years I worked in traveling sales for Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad Poor Dad. I'd fly somewhere in the US or Canada almost weekly. I left the workforce in 2010 so I could be a full time mom. When my last son was born in 2015 I realized I needed to carve out Val time again because I had PPD. I began to workout a few times a week. And the rest is history.

Within my coaching practice, Immersive Performance, we offer comprehensive stimulus driven training programming, paired with nutritional and supplementation strategies to best match each phase of development we set out on together. We also offer functional health coaching to restore optimal health in clients with imbalances in their endocrine and digestive systems, which includes lab work analysis to identify our current rate limiting steps that must be addressed to achieve optimal health status. This is paired with training, nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle/behavioral strategies which all synergize together to fit within each individuals unique lifestyle constraints. Upon reaching out, we will set up a free 30 minute zoom call to ensure that we are a great fit. I will then send out both an intake form along with a symptoms assessment which will help guide me in creating our protocols. Once our initial plan is complete, you will receive a loom video overviewing the the plan in great depth so that you have complete clarity on the direction we are heading at all times. Each week we will have a check-in on a set day, with feedback coming via a screen recorded loom video where I will cover our overview for the week which has just passed, our updates heading into the upcoming week, along with a review of the exercise videos you send over throughout the week for further assessment. You also have access to me at anytime through whatsapp for questions and/or support throughout the week as needed, with a 24 hour response window.

As many of you may relate, my journey began at the very young age of 14 years old as an athlete. Throughout my high school years, I spent a large portion of my time interning under our school's strength and conditioning coach, who was a former assistant to the University of Iowa football team. Through this period, my already eager to learn demeanor continued to morph into an insatiable hunger for knowledge. I remember very vividly day dreaming about a future as a strength and conditioning coach, which at the time was my top value. I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to play football at Grandview University in Des Moines, Iowa. This was unfortunately cut short due to a career ending concussion, which left me I unable to complete my playing years. It was at this moment that I decided to take a more "unconventional" route toward my goals, which lead to me leaving university and investing well over 100 thousand dollars in various educational courses, mentorships, seminars, lectures, books, etc over the coming 8 years. Along the way, I was gifted various hormonal and digestive based issues, which allowed me to side step into functional medicine as I sought out answers to help myself heal. Through this period of time, my passion has continue to grow, shift and evolve into my beautiful current reality as a full time holistic health and hypertrophy coach.
As I've stated in my bio, my path was quite "unconventional" if you will. I am certified in personal training through NASM, I have also gone on to complete many continuing education courses such as N1 Education, Kilo Strength, J3 University, etc. Along with this, I have completed 100's of hours of private mentoring with some of the top coaches in the world. After graduating High School, Brock attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine. As an online coach, I will provide stimulus driven programming customized to the individual based on their goal, equipment available, limitations, and other considerations. Each client will have an initial consultation Zoom call with me, where we discuss the above. I've been a CPT since 2015 and worked in a gym setting until 2020 when I took my coaching business fully online. I have a background in functional training but found that (women especially) where not achieving the physique results that they wanted doing circuit workouts & CrossFit. Now I help women train smarter and achieve the physique goals that they are after through intentional programming & execution (much of which I've learned through N1) that aligns more closely with their goals.
I love all things outdoors and spend most weekends outside with my husband and/or friends hiking, biking, snowshoeing etc and taking in our home state of MN. I'm also an avid reader and love a good self development or fictional read!
Personal Training has been my full time job since 2015 - I worked for years in group personal training gyms and also worked 1:1 with (primarily women) who were looking to improve their health and build their physiques. Since taking my business fully online in 2020 I've put all of my time and attention into 1:1 Nutrition Coaching and my Built To Last Training Membership.

I began my journey in 1992 as a 117lb college freshman who desperately needed to put on weight. I began my journey under the guidance of worlds strongest man competitor Chad Coy and put 65lbs on my frame naturally in 6 short months. Instantly I was hooked, I loved the science, the work, the results and knew this was what I wanted to help others with for the rest of my life. Along the was I had the privilege of being John Meadows training partner, coached under Charles Poliquin, Mentored under Dr Eric Serrano and trained at Westside Barbell where I put up an equipped 420bench, 650 squat, 575 deadlift at a weight of 181lbs. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and break through ceilings.
