Neuromechanical Matching

The theory of neuromechanical matching suggests that the nervous system will recruit certain tissues more than others based on their mechanical advantage to perform a particular movement. The internal moment arm data is often cited to draw conclusions, but that is only part of the picture and additional context (such as specificity and coordination demands) must also be considered.
